IMC Shows Presents: The Freak Brothers
The Freak Brothers combine elements of acoustic folk, blues, country, gospel, and Americana into something you've never heard until you hear it yourself! They played numerous venues in C/U and recorded a live CD in Channing Murray prior to Rummenie's leaving town to live in Austin, Texas. The current incarnation of The Freak brothers continue to play featuring their original compositions and their love of off-kilter covers. Admission is $5.

Rhinoceros
"A rich dialogue about identity, self, and the power of will!"

Rhinoceros The Celebration Company at The Station Theatre presents Eugene Ionesco's Rhinoceros directed by Eric Burton. Rhinoceros is often considered to be Ionesco's best work and has been referred to as "one of the masterpieces of the Theatre of the Absurd." This comedy follows Berenger-depressed, unmotivated, and bordering on alcoholism-as he attempts to navigate the confusion besetting his small French village as it is overrun by swift-footed pachyderms. As the story unfolds, and bipeds become an ever-smaller minority, he finds meaning and purpose in a quest to retain his humanity, flawed as it may be..

News-Gazette Wedding Packages

News-Gazette I Do Magazine
The News-Gazette sends out wedding packages every week to newly engaged couples in our area. We send out roughly 20 or so a month and the mailings contain our I Do Magazine, flyers, brochures, magnets, business cards,
coupons and other things from local businesses that could help in the planning of a wedding.

We'd like to see if any or all of our downtown businesses would like to provide something for these weekly mailings. It's free and is a good way to connect your business with local brides and grooms. The items should be fairly flat and able to fit in a 9"x12" mailing envelope. Nothing heavy please.

Questions about what we are doing or what items are appropriate for mailings? Contact Erin at 217-351-5376 or e-mail me. You may also drop off the items at the
front desk of The News-Gazette. Just put Attn: Erin on them.
