The Crucible at Kranner's Studio Theatre |
Witchcraft may be the topic, but you will recognize the power and self-interest of modern-day life!
In Arthur Miller's Tony Award-winning play, the Salem witch trials serve as the metaphorical backdrop for this ruthless exposé of power and self-interest in its insidious forms: accusation, confession, absolution, ritual, and compliance. The Proctor family bears the burden of the mass hysteria gripping the village when teenage girls report they've seen various locals in the company of the Devil. Witchcraft may be the topic, but you will recognize the power and self-interest of modern-day life in this production that opens on October 29. For more information, click here!

Trick-or-Treat for Change |
Drivers needed! Costumes welcome!
Trick-or-Treat for "Change" is an event where volunteers will trick-or-treat in the local communities asking for donations, and ultimately "change" (the money fundraised will help reduce substandard housing). Trick-or-treaters will meet at Newman Hall, check in, and be assigned to a group of four. Then, drivers will drive them to and from their assigned areas in Urbana or Savoy. Maps, collection "houses," stickers for identification, and cards explaining Habitat's mission to distribute upon donation will be supplied. Appropriate costumes are welcomed (remember we are representing Habitat). Hard hats will be provided to wear for a basic costume.
