Days of the New is an alternative rock band that was formed in 1995. On Friday from 10:00-11:00pm, listen to their hit songs like "Touch, Peel and Stand" and "Shelf in the Room" both from their self-titled debut album!  
 
 
 Other Friday performances include:
  • 6:30-8:00pm Family Groove Company (Soft Rock) 
  • 8:30-9:30pm This Must Be the Band (Talking Heads Tribute Band)

Saturday Headliner: WAR

WAR the BandWAR is a band from the late 60s and 70s with classic hits like "Low Rider" and "Why Can't We Be Friends?" This will be an awesome performance that you can't miss! Be at Miller Main Stage from 9:00-11:00pm to check it out!

33 Miles is a contemporary Christian band with country music influences. Watch their great performance Friday night from 7:30-9:00pm!

Marching IlliniThe Marching Illini is the nations's premiere marching band! Show your Illini pride and watch them march from the Broadway Stage to the Miller Main Stage at 6:15pm.

Additional Entertainment Offstage!
 
Tree ThumpEnjoy your Sweetcorn on the Champaign County Courthouse Plaza while enjoying some smooth carribean music from the group I-Pan! They will be performing from 5:00-9:00pm on Friday and 12:00-5:00pm on Saturday.
 
Listen to the unique and haunting sounds of the didjeridu combined with drums, bass guitar, and electric fiddle by Tree Thump in "Green Alley." Their funk and entranced grooves will take you on a twisting, turning musical journey. They will be performing from 1:00-1:45pm and 2:30-3:15pm on Saturday in Green Alley!
Eat Sweetcorn!
The corn tent will be located on the North end of Main near Vine
 Corn!
We know what you come to the festival for: our hot, buttery, Illinois-grown sweetcorn! There will be over 30,000 ears of corn and over 1,000 pounds of butter (almost a ton)! Be sure to keep an eye out for Corny to win free corn bucks! In addition to sweetcorn, there will also be attractions and plenty of great food and merchandise from over 80 venders.

Play All Day!
 
Bungee RunEnjoy games for all ages, including inflatable: bungee runs, a mechanical bull, giant slides, cyber spin, bounce house and obstacle courses! There will also be a rock climbing wall, mobile laser tag, Gone Fishin' for kids, High Striker Games, and pony rides! All of these activities will be open from 5:00 - 9:00pm on Friday and 11:00am - 9:00pm on Saturday! 
 
The inflatables, High Stiker Games, and Mobile Laser Tag will be located on the parking deck in front of the County Plaza.
 
5M Pony Rides will be located at the intersection of Broadway and Elm.
 
The Rock Climbing Wall will be located on Main and Race.

"One Community Together"
The theme for this year's festival is "One Community Together". We've partnered with the University to bring festival attendees a good dose of culture and education! Head to North Broadway on Saturday to visit the University sponsored stage where worldly performances will be taking place, and be sure to stop by the various University booths along Broadway as well to play games and learn more about different colleges, such as the College of ACES and the College of Engineering! Be sure to also stop by the C-U Fit Families booth that highlights more than 60 local groups that work for child wellness!

Dedicate The Bell Tower!
Corner of Main and Broadway
 
Dedicate the Bell Tower!At 9:00am on Saturday, attend a dedication of the Champaign County Courthouse Clock & Bell Tower. After the dedication, from 10:00am until noon, take a tour of the restored space and check out the new exhibit called "Abe Lincoln: Large Presence in a Small Town."

Muster Your Motor!

Motor MusterThe 13th Annual Motor Muster will take place at the corner of Race and Main on Saturday from 10:30 am until 4:00 pm. In honor of Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday, the Motor Muster will showcase Lincoln Mercury Vehicles! Cars displayed will date back to 1912 as well as a NASCAR simulator packed with loads of fun!
Go Green!
 
U-CycleThe festival this year is totally GREEN! All beverage vendors will be serving drinks in 100% recyclable cups provided by Solo Cup's "Bare" product line. Either reuse your cup, recycle it in a designated recylcing bin, or visit one of our 6 recycling tents where you can win free goodies from U-Cycle!
 
Also, be sure to check out the environmentally dedicated block dubbed "Green Alley" on Broadway Avenue to learn more about eco-related vendors, performances and services. Some other "green" things you should look out for at the festival:
  • MTD will bring their new hybrid bus to "Green Alley" - be sure to check it out!
  • Zipcar will showcase its Toyota Prius in "Green Alley"
  • Watch eco performances on Saturday afternoon by Tree Thump, a didjeridu band at 1:00 and 2:30, and eco performer Jack Kaufmann at 4:00
  • All corn husks will be composted at this year's festival (not to be confused with corn cobs)!
  • Be planet friendly - Ride your bicycle to the festival!  There will be a bicycle corral located inside the parking deck off Elm Street, and you will receive a free corn buck!
