To celebrate their grand opening and show just how dog-friendly they are, the employees of Prospect Bank in Champaign will be washing dogs in the bank's parking lot at the corner of Kirby and Prospect Avenues this Saturday. A bath will cost just $12.00, and every penny will be donated to CCHS. Better yet, the Prospect Bank is matching every single dog bath with an additional $12 donation to CCHS. A $12 bath for your dog = $24 for CCHS! Water, suds and labor provided.  Bring your own towels. Prospect Bank is dog-friendly, inside and out!

Rodney Peacock, artist and musician, is opening his studio to the public for people to view his work and collection of art and artifacts he has accumulated over the last twenty years. The dates for the performance of Noontide Trilogy with Phil Strange will be announced, and Nicolas at Corkscrew will be doing wine tasting upon request.  Fleurish and Do Good Consulting will be present, as well as special guests Mary Alice Kirk from Paris, France. Other guests in attendance will be artists and some musicians committed to the Noontide project, such as Jessie Knox,  Richard Greenberg, Elaine Oldham, Mark Mcknight, and Dr. Tom Paytner.

Urbana's Recycling Program 
 
In an effort to make the Sweetcorn Festival greener this year, recycling tents will be located around the festival so patrons can deposit recyclable beverage cups and other acceptable items at these stations.  There will be an educational component as well - The recycling tents will be interactive - Guess trivia questions, receive information about U-CYCLE and get information about your carbon footprint!
