Friday Night Pizza at Mirabelle
tammy sopher braceletThe Friday Night Pizza at Mirabelle is this evening from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. (or until sold out) and each Friday.
 
Pizzas can be pre-ordered at (217) 202-1919. Traditional toppings are available plus a specialty pizza cut for slices or order each night. The pizzas are freshly made including the hand tossed dough and Matthew Kitzmiller's very own sauce.
 
Whole pizzas start at $12.00 and can be picked up or seating is available outside with sidewalk tables and chairs (weather permitting).

International Migratory Bird Week
The Urbana Park District invites the public to celebrate and support migratory bird conservation. Each year, hundreds of thousands of people observe International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD). Public awareness and concern are crucial to maintaining healthy bird populations. 
 
WHAT A CATCH
WHO: All ages, under 15 with a registered adult
WHEN: Saturday, May 2nd, 6-9am
WHERE: Anita Purves Nature Center
ACTIVITIES: Enjoy a fun morning with birds in Busey Woods. Misty Barron from the Illinois Natural History Survey will be on site mist netting and banding birds.
PARTICIPANTS WILL: See live birds and how scientists catch, study and release them back into the wild.
COST: Free (donations of sunflower seeds or mixed birdseed gratefully accepted to help the Nature Center feed birds)

Tuesday, May 5th, 8pm - Matt & Shannon Heaton, singers/songwriters/musicians will perform a concert of Celtic music brought to you by Dean Karres of Piper's Hut.
