DEAN'S MESSAGE
| This month has been exemplary of the leadership in our College. As you read this newsletter, you'll read of our students being awarded the NSF GRFP, advancing in national competitions and using their research skills to apply it to today's worldly issues. A primary example of our translational research is our senior design team, featured in this edition. They've been challenged with trying to answer questions to environmental issues. With the soaring price of gas, they've chosen to look at an alternative to gasoline vehicles. They discovered a potential solution in their award-winning solar car. We're proud of our students for being innovative thinkers. To encourage their growth and leadership in research, we proudly announce the appointments of Dr. Clyne and Dr. Taheri. Dr. Clyne and Dr. Taheri will be supporting the efforts in undergraduate affairs and within the research operations. There are many more successes to come from CoE and we look forward to sharing them with you.
