Summer Programs

DEAN'S MESSAGE

Dean

CoE is enjoying the summer months. Summer programs and orientation are in full swing and while a break is not in sight, CoE is energized by the aspiring minds entering Drexel's campus. Students are experiencing life at its fullest within CoE. They have access to hands-on learning in labs, they're interacting with faculty and current students and meeting with industry professionals to gauge the future of science and engineering. Our summer visitors receive a small, yet valuable taste of the amazing experiences within Drexel Engineering. This continuing level of excellence in our outreach programs allows CoE to thrive in the field of higher education.  One quick glance around campus and it becomes clear that Drexel University is making its mark in the world today.

Drexel to Adopt Viridity Smart Grid

Drexel University has become the first institution in the country to deploy Viridity's VPower System energy monitoring system™ on its main campus. The system will provide real-time measurements of University power usage and eventually allow the University to sell energy back to the larger public grid. Working with Viridity, Drexel will install the system on a portion of its 65-acre campus to demonstrate how an organization can manage its energy costs and environmental impact with real-time electric prices. For more information on the project, please click here.
