Wyatt Farms Newsletter

Greetings!

We hope you are enjoying your summer and finding ways to keep cool.  Summer is such a great time to appreciate your garden and all the hard work you put in during the spring. Our zinnias, sunflowers and perennial and annual borders here at the nursery are gorgeous! Come by and take home fresh cut flowers for only 25 cents a bloom.

Zinnias

We know despite all your planning you probably have some areas that need a little filling in. We are having a sale next weekend so come in and take some of our plants home to enjoy. They will be so happy to get out of their confined little pots and into your garden. All they need is regular water to get established.

Thanks to all who were able to attend our Farm 2 Fork Dinner during the Festival of Flowers. I must admit it is the first time I have had 100 + people for dinner and what an amazing dinner it was.

Don't let the heat keep you away. Come and sit a spell in our nice air conditioned gift shop and look at the progress of our Potters and Artist Studio being built next to the veggie garden. Partners in Clay will be renting the facility this fall and there will be wonderful demonstrations, kiln openings, classes, and pit firings for you to enjoy, so stay tuned.

Thank you for being such loyal customers and good friends. We look forward to seeing you soon.  Happy Gardening.

July Gardening

Hanging basket

Incredible Hanging Baskets

July is a good month to relax by the pool, pond, lake, or garden and enjoy the beauty. A few snips here and there to keep your annuals and perennials blooming, watering, fertilizing, monitoring your garden for pest problems, and if you are real ambitious, some planting. The rest of your time can be spent eating tomato sandwiches, drinking sweet tea, and topping it off with peaches and ice cream.

It is a great time to reflect on fall planting and what areas you want to fix up next. Look around at areas in your neighborhood and take pictures of plants you like. If you don't know what they are we will help you.

We have some great potted gardens at incredible discounted prices this weekend. Hanging baskets like the one to the left and some gorgeous planted gardens designed by our experts. They are all looking for good homes so please come in and  take one home to enjoy.
