Candy Corn

Candy corn has been made with the same recipe by the Jelly Belly Candy Company since around 1900.  What's in that recipe, exactly? Sugar, corn syrup, and marshmallow.   One serving (about 30 pieces) has 140 calories, the equivalent of three miniature Hershey bars.  The National Confectioners Association reports that more than 35 million pounds are manufactured a year, amounting to almost 9 billion kernels.

Misura Stores open in Las Vegas
 
The doors of two new DxDempsey designed retail stores have opened in Las Vegas!    
Misura Monte Carlo
Misura at the Monte Carlo Resort 

Misura, a high end men's store, is owned and operated by the Marshall Retail Group (MRG), America's largest independent specialty retailer in the casino resort marketplace. 


DxDempsey's task was to create a new identity for the store.  The prototype design, located in the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino opened in March and was modified for a second store at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino which opened in May. Cashwrap


Misura's visually bold folding wall and ceiling plane showcases multiple product lines within its enclosure and gives the store a daring look that compliments the merchandise.  Metal and concrete fixtures and faux leather area rugs add organization and texture to the space while allowing guest to move through the shop with ease, even in a fully-loaded display environment.
MisuraThe cashwrap counter folds up out of the floor and its metal base echoes the alternating metal slices with cut-out Misura graphics featured behind it. The Misura brand infuses sustainable elements while still providing warmth and soul. Bamboo, a rapidly renewable resource, is used throughout the store as flooring, shelving and wall paneling. Additionally, the walls are painted with 0-VOC paint and the lighting is high energy efficiency metal halides.
