DxDempsey to speak at NEPA Green Exchange 2010 

  
NEPA Green Exchange 2010 LogoHow do you save money and conserve on natural resources while constructing (or retrofitting) your dream home or business building?  This is the question that the NEPA Green Exchange plans to answer during its forum of green professionals, architects, engineers, vendors and the public on March 6, 2010 at Luzerne County Community College in Nanticoke, PA.  The program is presented by the Luzerne County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers and the American Institute of Architects Northeastern PA Chapter.
 
Michele Dempsey of DxDempsey, will speak on the following topic: "Green Offices Increase the Bottom Line: Case Studies Illustrating How Green Practices Save Money and Create Healthier Workplaces".
  
Other speakers include:  Avery Gretton of Highland Associates who will speak about Sustainable Construction; Bill McFarland, the Director of Electrical Engineering Services at Borton-Lawson, will speak on LED Lighting and in another session he will explain PPL Act 129 - the State requirement for Pennsylvania Electric Distribution Companies to cost-effectively reduce electricity consumption and peak demand on their systems.  Many other informative sessions will be offered.
 
Supporting the speaker sessions of the green exchange will be vendor displays of renewable or recyclable building materials, energy saving lighting systems, and renewable energy sources.
 
The goal is to inform and educate both professionals and the public as to how they can economically save natural resources by employing green processes and materials in their homes and buildings.
