As a leading North American financial institution serving 11 million clients in Canada and around the world, CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) achieved revenues of $3.7-billion last year. Not surprisingly, it takes a large staff to provide CIBC's wide variety of products and services to those various individuals, small business and commercial banking clients. Sharon Wingfelder, Vice President of Human Resources, heads a department responsible for recruiting for all levels of the bank.

The program offers occupation-specific mentoring to skilled newcomers so that participants gain an understanding of Canadian workplace culture, identify whether they need to upgrade their skills
