CWA Partners with Ubokia for Double Hunt Giveaway
Help Save Wetlands and Enter to win the Hunt of a Lifetime
CWA has teamed up with Ubokia.com to create an amazing new way for you to buy, sell, and trade with other CWA members online. By joining CWA's Ubokia Network, you will be entered to win 1 of 2 awesome hunts and Ubokia will donate $2 on your behalf to directly help preserve our wetlands!
Ubokia reverses the way that people buy by allowing you to post something you want to buy (from trucks and gear to electronics and vacations) and then sellers respond to you and make offers - basically the reverse of Craigslist or eBay. On top of this amazing new way to buy and sell, Ubokia is a company founded by hunters who are passionate about waterfowl and are using this as a way to help save wetlands. So join today and help CWA preserve wetlands in California!

CWA Supports Increasing Migratory Bird Habitat in California
Coalition Letter to NRCS Includes CWA
California Waterfowl and a coalition of Pacific Flyway supporters recently sent a letter to the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) encouraging the placement of migratory bird habitat into the Bay Delta Initiative.
This important program could affect 125,000-150,000 acres of habitat and utilize $12-15 million in conservation funding.

DFG Strategic Vision Draft Open for Public Comment
The California Fish and Wildlife Strategic Vision Executive Committee has released the draft interim strategic vision for public review. This document is the first draft of potential recommendations for a strategic vision for the California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) and the California Fish and Game Commission (F&GC) that will be presented to the Governor and California State Legislature in February 2012 as required by AB 2376 (Huffman, 2010).
Last summer, CWA President John Carlson, Jr. was appointed to the California Fish and Wildlife Strategic Vision Stakeholder Advisory Group to represent the views of hunters and conservation groups. Please take advantage of the ability to comment on this important draft document by going to http://www.vision.ca.gov/strategic_vision.html |
