The market research world is figuring out how to embrace social media in more ways than one. Methodologically, it is experimenting with ways to incorporate analysis of social media sources such as Twitter data to enhance traditional survey and focus group data. On another level, the industry is figuring out how to take advantage of the promise of social media for its own marketing efforts.
