C.S. Lewis Institute
Resources for Discipleship of Heart and Mind

Greetings!

Greetings in the name of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ! On behalf of the facilitators of the C.S. Lewis Institute - Annapolis (George Anderson, John Bishop, Jim Hiskey, and Jim Phillips), I offer you this edition of the CSLI Annapolis Newsletter.

Mission of C.S. Lewis Institute:

The C.S. Lewis Institute was founded in 1976 in the legacy of its namesake as an organization which endeavors to challenge, educate, and disciple those who will, like Lewis, articulate, defend, and live faith in Christ through personal and public life. The Institute's vision complements the work of the Church, equipping thoughtful believers to impact their sphere of influence for Jesus Christ. This discipleship of heart and mind takes place by means of teaching, readings, and mentoring.

Mission of C.S. Lewis Institute - Annapolis:

The Mission of C.S. Lewis Institute - Annapolis is to extend the mission of the C.S. Lewis Institute to the Annapolis community, with a special passion for the students and faculty of Saint John's College and the U.S. Naval Academy. Ours is to disciple the people the Lord brings to us and connect them to each other so that they can lead the Church, the State, and the nations.

May Update:

Greetings from Annapolis!

This past Saturday was our final meeting of our 2011-2012 Fellows Program. We have had an excellent year together being challenged to grow and think, building friendships and being mentored, encouraging and supporting one another in conversation and prayer, and learning to love Christ better and be his disciple in our various spheres of influence. Congratulations to our Year One Fellows!

Daniel and Brandy Spandler-Davison (CSLI Fellows), Ann and Jim Phillips were invited to Yanji, China by Dr. James Kim, President of the Yambian University of Science and Technology (YUST). They are seen in the picture with Dr. Kay Sho, Special Assistant to Dr. Jim.

The purpose of the trip was to explore the establishment of a C.S. Lewis Institute at YUST. After an "immersion experience" in college life at YUST, they have returned to the U.S. with a plan and vision to accomplish this.

Aslan is on the move, in China and elsewhere in Asia. Thanks be to God!

Please pray for the men and women associated with the Institute and the lives they have been entrusted to touch. Our ministry in Annapolis is not about numbers, it is about touching the lives of the men and women God brings to us before they go out into His service.

Aslan is on the move!

Sincerely in Christ,
