Calls for Artists/Arts Opportunities 

  GLIDE  

The National Soaring Museum and The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes announce a call to artists for "Glide", an exhibit of soaring-related art.  The exhibit will be on view at the National Soaring Museum, Harris Hill, Elmira, from January 28 - February 18.  An opening reception will be held on Saturday, January 28, from 2 - 4pm (snow date February 4).
 
 
Interested artists may send up to three (3) images for consideration to Ginnie Lupi, at director@eARTS.org, no later than 5pm Friday, January 6.  Please note that due to installation constraints only two-dimensional artwork will be considered.  Please follow these instructions to enter: 
*    Name entry email "Glide" and address it to
*    Include a digital image of each piece, in JPEG format, no larger than 600 x 800 pixels, resolved at 72 ppi.  Title images as follows:  Lastname_Firstname_
#1.jpg, etc. 
*    In the body of the email, include the title, medium and size of each piece of artwork, the date is was created, and the price or insurance value.  The list should correspond to image numbers (see above). 
*    Include contact information: name, address, telephone number, URL and preferred email address. 
There is no fee to enter. 
 
All artists will be notified by email no later than Friday, January 13.  Accepted artwork must be framed and ready for installation, and delivered to The National Soaring Museum no later than 5pm Friday, January 20.

I'm happy to wish you all the best as we head toward a new year here at CAP. There have been countless successes in 2011, but I'm even more excited about the prospects in 2012. Just a few of the many things to look forward to include:
