Workshop

Work outdoors in the immediate medium of pastel. Award winning Adirondack pastelist Diane Leifheit will facilitate your work in the satisfying method of plein air - painting outdoors - first used by impressionists of the 1800s.

This year, art collectors will have another opportunity to "Buy Local" at the 21st annual Ithaca Artists' Market. Held on Friday, July 29th, from 2pm to 8pm at the Ithaca Farmers Market, the Artists' Market fills all 88 booths in a unique, once-a-year, can't miss event.

One of CAP's primary goals is to get funds into the hands of artists and arts organizations for programs and projects that will enrich Tompkins County's already vibrant arts community.


With funding support from the New York State Council on the Arts as well as local donors and supporters, we're able to offer a number of grant programs.

Greater Ithaca Art Trail Group Show

Artist Talk Featuring THREE Artists on Monday, August 15 @ 6:30 PM  

 

 

 

30 of the 50 artists currently on the Art Trail will be showing their work in the CAP ArtSpace through August 30. Fiber, sculpture, paintings, glass, furniture, photography, digital work, drawings, etchings, mobiles and ceramics. See the art trail artists and their work in one place!!

GREATER ITHACA ART TRAIL MAPS NOW AVAILABLE

 

 

The Greater Ithaca Art Trail is a member supported program of the Community Arts Partnership, with additional grant support from the

Tompkins County Tourism Program  

With the recent release of the 2011-2012 Greater Ithaca Art Trail Map, another trail season is officially upon us! 50 artists are taking part in this open studio tour that winds throughout Tompkins County, giving visitors a chance to see art where it happens.

 

The roster of talented artists changes year to year, so be sure to pick up the latest brochure to find details on 9 new and returning members, as well as up-to-date info on all your familiar favorites.

Maps can be found at both Tompkins County Visitor Centers, the CAP offices, and brochure racks throughout New York State.
