Greetings!
You may know that I'm a "glass is half full" kind of guy, so I'm confident that Tompkins County will start thawing out soon. In preparation, this month's ArtsLetter features a bevy of calls for artists of all types for events and exhibitions occurring all over the area. Included in those calls are the latest deadline for applications to exhibit in our own CAP ArtSpace as well as an application for the Arcades Project - an exciting new addition to this year's Spring Writes literary festival (more on that included below as well). There are plenty of opportunities for art-lovers, as well, so take a moment to pore over this edition - you're sure to find something to help Spring get here a little quicker. Cheers,
 Brett Bossard, Executive Director

CAP ARTISTS' TALK SERIES MONDAY, March 21, 6:30 at the CAP ArtSpace
This month's presentation features
Ed Marion.
Ed is currently exhibiting in the CAP ArtSpace. Learn more about the CAP ArtSpace here. In his latest show of paintings, artist Ed Marion turns his artist's eye and paintbrush to the wonderful world of ice hockey. Inspired by many year's of cheering on the Big Red at Cornell's Lynah Rink, Ed's new paintings incorporate the beauty and action of ice hockey with his love of figurative drawing and painting. These paintings, in oils and acrylics, feature the action, passion and pleasure that only ice hockey can bring. A life-long artist, in March of 2008, Ed switched careers from the practice of law to his studio practice of painting portraits and cityscapes. Over the last 5 years, Ed has chronicled life in the Finger Lakes with his many shows of paintings of area musicians, artists, cityscapes and landscapes.
