 | | Roses are red, Acrylic on canvas, 48" x 48" 2010 |
NOW AT CAP ArtSpace Josh Sperling "Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Goldenrod are Goldenrod"
Large acrylic paintings on canvas. Joshua Sperling's large paintings push pattern and color to the limit and create bold optic experiences. In both his paintings and his smaller works his use of transformations within the structure of pattern are meditative studies of "what you see is what you get." This show will highlight a new large triptych that plays on the age old love poem "Roses are red, violets are blue." Through the month of February 2011
