$1,000 Fellowships for Artists
"United Arts Fund"

Deadline - April 18

The Community Arts Partnership's United Arts Fund Fellowships are for individual artists in Tompkins County. Grants are $1,000 each (we have two available) and are designed to assist artists in their artistic careers.  The literature and visual arts disciplines will be reviewed. Art Trail Artist Event

Speaking of Art Trail artists, Cary Joseph (potter) and Dede Hatch (photographer) will be doing something really cool on Saturday, April 5th, from 10 to 3.  Both of their studios will be open for a one-day sale and the work of both artists with be at both locations!  Cary is at 201 Hook Place (on West Hill - Hook is across from Lehman Alternatives School) and Dede is at 201 Dey Street, Suite 217 (the building with Hickey's Music Store, her entrance is on the left if you are facing Hickeys.) CCO Auction

The Cayuga Chamber Orchestra is having their annual silent auction at their season finale performance at Ford Hall on Saturday, May 10th, 80m.  Israeli cellist, Anit Pelad, will be performing.  www.cayugachamberorchestra.org  The auction is silent and set up in the lobby. They usually have over 500 people at their concerts. If you are interested in donating art or a service to the auction to benefit this organization, contact manager Sheila Ossit at cco.orch@verizon.net or call 273-8981.  You'll get a comp for the performance - tickets are $29 for adults.

Monica Franciscus is teaching intensive landscape painting workshops in the South of France, in Sauve in the Cevennes, Languedoc wine region.
