Sept 2011 Events

Dear Friends,

With the High Holy Days approaching, many people have been asking about arrangements to attend services at local synagogues.  HudsonJewish is pleased to publish a directory of all local Jewish organizations on our website; here is the link to the Synagogue Directory page:  http://www.hudsonjewish.org/1/content/view/20/29/.

Note that many local synagogues are offering free admission to people who are new in the area.  Consult the Synagogue Directory for contact information to find out more from each synagogue.

Local Jewish Oral History Group Forming

Residents interested in an oral history project on Jewish life in Hudson County are invited to contact HudsonJewish Trustee Burt Gitlin regarding this project.  As our region is home to a substantial population of older Jewish residents who have lived their whole lives in the Hudson County area, this could be an excellent way to connect across generational lines and preserve the rich Jewish traditions of our region.  Burt's contact information is:  Burt@HudsonJewish.org.

Join us on Facebook!
