Holocaust Studies Presentation at USH:  Students from the Jersey City Public Schools  

Sunday, February 13, 1:00pm - 3:00pm: Jersey City Public Schools Holocaust Studies Presentation. For the past several years, the Jersey City Public Schools system has sponsored a Holocaust studies program, which has included a trip by high school aged students to sites in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. Led by teacher and administrator June Chang (a Korean-American), the students, most of whom are not Jewish, gain exposure to Jews, Judaism and the Jewish experience in World War II. Join past program participants for a video presentation and panel discussion about what they learned, and how the program changed their lives

As past presentation attendees can attest, the students' video images and words provide a truly moving glimpse into the their experiences. The students return from Europe as "point people" in their schools and neighborhoods about the Holocaust, intolerance and genocide.

There is no charge for the event, but an appeal will be made for your support of this important initiative.
