United Synagogue of Hoboken -- Star of Israel Rededication

On Sunday, December 5, 2010, approximately 500 people attended the rededication of United Synagogue of Hoboken's historic Star of Israel building at 115 Park Avenue, following a 5-year capital campaign.  Attended by local dignitaries including United States Senator Robert Mendendez and Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer, the event marked a turning point in the revival of Jewish life in the Hoboken/Hudson County region.  A fascinating video on the renovation of the Star of Israel building and the history of the Jewish community of Hoboken is available on the USH website at:  http://www.hobokensynagogue.org/OurMiracle.php.
