Message from the Chairman

Dear Friends,

Passover begins on the evening of March 29, with the first seder taking place on that night.  Many people also celebrate a second seder on the second night, March 30.

Hudson County is home to so many newly-arrived Jewish people; some of them may not yet have a place to celebrate.  Accordingly, HudsonJewish is pleased to furnish the following information about communal seders being held in the area.  Because time is very short and places are filling up, if you are interested to attend one of these seders we encourage you to make plans immediately.  The deadline for making reservations at each synagogue is this coming Monday, March 22.

L'hitraot,

Adam S. Weiss, Chairman, HudsonJewish

Assisting the Jewish Community in Chile

As many may be aware, the recent earthquake in Chile (home to approximately 25,000 Jews), destroyed the synagogue in the city of Concepcion, near the epicenter of the quake.  In the spirit of Passover, all are encouraged to support that community by making a tax-deductible contribution by check or credit card through the Masorti Olami movement.  A link to the website is available here.
