Message from the Board

Dear Fellow Hudson County Residents;

As I write this letter we are cleaning up from yet another winter snow storm. Although I am wishing that winter will be over soon I'd like to take the opportunity to look back at some of the great events and programs that our Jewish community has enjoyed recently.

From "Hanukah on the Hudson" at the JCC with its live klezmer music and great food, to the "Jazz Jam" at Temple Beth-El, to the monthly Rosh Chodesh program sponsored by Congregation Ohav Zedek and the JCC, to the fantastic Israeli children's party at United Synagogue of Hoboken, our county continues to enjoy a plethora of Jewish activities for all ages and interests.

As we look ahead to February, we will be celebrating Tu B'shvat with a wonderful wine and chocolate tasting at Temple Emanu-El of Bayonne (featuring their famous "chocolate foundue fountai", the fabulous Duprees in concert at the Bayonne JCC, and many Purim festivities at various synagogues. I encourage you all to come out, meet your neighbors, visit a synagogue (or two), try out a new program, and enjoy everything that Hudson County Jewish life has to offer.

I look seeing new faces and visiting with old (and new) friends. Be sure to check out both the HudsonJewish website and The Jewish State newspaper which is available for free locally, for a full listing of upcoming events.

Warmly,
Michelle Levine, Secretary
HudsonJewish
