Retailers Save $200
There are more than 56 hours of education just right for the retail facility maintenance professional at the novice, mid-management and senior management levels. Here is a look at some of the educational sessions offered.
Lease Administration 101 - Dale Willerton, The Lease Coach
What CAM or NNN charges can landlords really recover from tenants? Who is responsible for the HVAC system? Do I handle institutional landlords differently than local mom and pop landlords? The landlord isn't listening to my problem? When and how do I send the landlord a default notice? This session will cover the most commonly asked questions and problems experienced by professional lease administrators. From Do's and Don'ts to Tips and Traps, Willerton will lay it on the line, with insight from both the tenant and the landlord's perspective. Email your most pressing problem or question in advance to DaleWillerton@TheLeaseCoach.com
Advanced HVAC - Take It To The Next Level Know the basics of HVAC? This session will move your knowledge of RTU maintenance/service to a higher level. Also addressed will be strategic management questions regarding predictive maintenance options, system analysis time savers, common service tasking time studies, repair cost trends and simple solutions to improve comfort and energy usage.
Climate Change & Energy Management Concerns for the environment and the increasing global demands for energy have become an everyday part of our lives. As more retail businesses focus on the economic, environmental and social implications of sustainablity, the retail maintenance professional needs to understand the core advantages and disadvantage of "greening" their businesses. This session will examine the drivers of costs, climate change, energy efficiency and rising capital expenditures influencing this movement to go green. It will also examine the competitive advantages of these actions
and how you can leverage your actions most efficiently. Being a green business can mean being a more successful company.
Fungus Among Us
Attendees will learn the "who, what, why, when and where" of mold identification, prevention, and remediation. Why is mold remediation so expensive? Not only will you compare live mold genera on Petri plates, you can dress up in Tyvak to 'experience' mold remediation. Learn the proactive steps that can positively impact the health and welfare of your employees and the public, and when needed, how to address, evaluate and select a qualified IAQ and/or remediation specialist.
Disaster Preparedness And Recovery This dynamic session will include a panel of Retailers and Vendors ready to share their experiences and knowledge to help you deal effectively with disasters of all sizes, whether a single location or a recreational event. Come learn about lease and real estate obligations as well as the best means of communication before and after a disaster. Learn from seasoned retailers and vendors who have literally "seen it all!"
