DEE & Summer Dancers Fall Rehearsal Schedule
Please note the rehearsal schedule below for the summer 2011 dancers (Kiddie Dancers, Junior Dancers, DEE) who will participate in the Happy Holidays Concert:
- Fri Dec 2nd
- Sat Dec 3rd - 2pm
Dress rehearsal begins promptly at 2:00pm on Sat. Dec. 3rd. Kiddie & Junior Dancers may leave for a quick dinner once finished their last dance at dress rehearsal. Must be back by 4:30pm to prepare for the show at 5. DEE members do not leave ...

HELP - WE NEED SOME ITEMS!
We need raffle items for the Happy Holidays concert this weekend!
We also need several large sturdy boxes for the food donations (this week).
We also need hangers (wire) - gathered neatly and bound with an elastic or ribbon/shoelace, etc. We put all appropriate costumes/accessories on hangers for your convenience in the spring. |

Dancers of the Month
Taylore Pollard
Sabrina Wojnar
Taylore takes the Ballet, Jazz, and Tap cont. 2 classes. She has been working so hard in class lately and has been making great progress. Taylore has a terrific work ethic and is always eager for a new challenge. She also has been working on her flexibility and just recently got her right split. Taylore always has a positive attitude and a smile!
Sabrina takes the preteen Hip Hop and Tap cont. 2 classes. She just came back to dance after taking a couple years off and it has been great to have her back in classes! Sabrina is a very diligent worker and she doesn't stop until she gets something right. She also has been really working on her style in hip hop. Sabrina has been making great strides this year!

Like every year, the time between Halloween and the holidays is a huge blur, both personally and professionally! We have had such fun this season with our Halloween activities, Spirit Week and Project Santa! We are now embarking on our 14th annual Happy Holidays concert this coming weekend (FREE - join us!). Meanwhile, the teachers have all been working diligently with the students to progress toward creating pieces for our upcoming June production (it seems far away, but it will be here before you know it)! Songs and costumes have been chosen, measurements will be taken this month, and costumes will be ordered over the break! It's so exciting!

Happy Holidays Concert - FREE
Sat. Dec. 3rd - 5pm
The Dance Expressions Ensemble will present its annual FREE Happy Holidays Concert in December to benefit area food pantries. This tradition, the first of the kind in the area, celebrates our 14th season! Join us in helping the community while the dancers perform, the children create a make-and-take craft, and Santa visits with the children!

- Toys for Tots donations

Costume Balances
due Jan. 31st
- Clients enrolled in automatic periodic billing will have costume balances added to February or semester tuition on Feb. 1st.
- Clients paying by check for the semester or month must submit payment by January 31st with February or semester tuition. Payments not rendered by Jan. 31st will be charged to the card on file on Feb. 1st.
Once costumes have been ordered, you are responsible for paying in full - there are no returns with costume companies.
Please check your file (next to the observation monitor) the first class back in January for your costume balance statement - these will NOT be emailed as they are individualized per family.

Photo Journal
Dance Expressions Unlimited has an online photo journal at Shutterfly. There are photos from class, Halloween, the Tyngsboro Trot DEE performance, Spirit Week, and Project Santa. Over the holidays I will be uploading the photos from the Happy Holidays concert as well.
To use the photo journal, first you must register (FREE - no obligation to buy anything) and then you can preview and download photos at your convenience. The site is password protected (password = Studio73). |

Miscellaneous
The weather is cooler - long sleeve leotards are recommended for younger students.
Weather Cancellations - Classes are cancelled if Tyngsboro schools have been cancelled due to weather. If there is a delayed opening due to weather in Tyngsboro and surrounding towns, there will be no morning classes. If schools have early dismissal due to weather, there will be no afternoon or evening classes. Call the studio 1/2 hour before class when in doubt. Class cancellations will also be posted on the studio Facebook page. Makeups for snow days are allowed if there is a comparable class.
Holiday Break is from Dec. 12 to Jan. 1st. Tuition is the same for December as every other month. As stated in our policies, website and registration form, tuition is based on an annual amount which has been divided evenly into 10 monthly payments for your convenience and ours. First and most important - the holiday break is when I order costumes which is an extremely tedious and time-consuming endeavor. Second, I used to have classes right up until Christmas Eve, however, attendance is very sparse in mid-December with parents needing the time to prepare for the holidays, work parties, etc. Third, the holiday break is also when I start to plan the recital order and begin summer scheduling. And finally, I need to have some time with my family during the holidays as well - as it is, I constantly need to juggle my time between administrative duties and mommy time. Thank you for understanding.
