Dads are notoriously avid fans of steak, and Steakhouses are generally very manly-man in decor and atmosphere, so I'd suggest Happy Hour at one of Portland's finest. The Traditional category in this year's Happy Hour Guidebook's "Mood" edition fits the bill too (See pages 66-81 -- click to view .pdf pages via Happy Hour guidebook website). Oh and Brewpubs too! See the "Beervana" section). Oh! And the Old-School pages too! WOW! This IS a really great book for ideas :-)
