GOAL'sCan you help us out?

GOAL is in need of a few volunteers to help us out at our "Freedom Rising" Banquet on June 18th, if you are attending and would like to help us run a raffle table etc.. please send an email to Angela Fisher.

Do you have something you can donate as a prize?  We need donated items to use as raffle prizes at our "Freedom Rising" Summer Banquet on Saturday June 18, 2011

These items should be new but do not have to be firearms related, as a matter of fact non firearms related items often do very well.

If you have an item that you would like to donate, please contact Tara at the GOAL office 508-393-5333 x203.  Thanks!

Important! Public Hearing Scheduled

GOAL Shield Logo

GOAL has been made aware that the Joint Committe on Public Safety and Homeland Security has scheduled a hearing at the State House for Tuesday June 21, 2011. Time and room are TBA.

Amongst the bills to be heard are many anti civil rights bills that will further punish law abiding gun owners. These bills must be stopped and GOAL calls on all law abiding gun owners to attend this meeting, show the legislators that you will not accept a restriction of your civil rights!

Here is a list of the bills to be heard:

e-FA10 /Letter to FFL Issues.

June 10, 2011 e-FA10/FFL Letter update.

EOPS compliance letter:

The Executive Office of Public Safety and Security letter sent out to dealers is causing even more confusion-this time with law enforcement officers.  The letter states that "There is no exception allowing the sale or transfer for assault weapons or large capacity feeding devices to any person, including police officers.   A police officer may not purchase an assault weapon or large capacity feeding device by presenting police identification or an agency letter or by signing a form or waiver supplied by a dealer or by any other means."   This, coupled with the rest of the letter bans law enforcement from purchasing pre and post ban assault weapons and large capacity magazines for on or off duty use.

Previously, when GOAL contacted EOPS, they said they were conducting an internal review of the letter.  We will continue to press them to remedy this issue, seeing as the letter is full of non-factual information.

If any law enforcement officers have any questions or concerns, please call the GOAL office.

FA10 Issue:

GOAL has received a letter from Jason Guida, Director of the Firearms Record Bureau stating that paper FA-10 forms WILL be available to use for personal transfers and registrations.  These forms will now be available at police departments and we have a limited amount here at the GOAL office.  We urge you to use the paper FA-10 forms, as the E-FA-10's do not appear to be on a secure site.

We will continue to work with legislators and the Firearms Record Bureau regarding the issues with the E-FA-10 form and update our members when we receive any new information.
