NRA Political Victory Fund Supports Jeff Perry for Congress
Endorsement signifies recognition of Perry's record of voting for 2nd Amendment issues
SANDWICH - The Jeff Perry for Congress campaign announced today that The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Jeff Perry for election to the U.S. House of Representatives in the September 14 Republican Primary.

"Jeff Perry's strong commitment to preserving our hunting and shooting heritage has earned him the NRA-PVF's endorsement," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. "Jeff was a proven leader on gun owners' and sportsmen's rights in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and I know he will continue to fight for and protect the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding gun owners at the federal level."

During Perry's tenure in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, he cosponsored the Mass. Firearm Regulation Reform legislation to eliminate some of the current draconian regulations that exist in the Commonwealth. He also supported Senate Bill 2367 which represented the greatest set of firearm law reforms since the passage of the Commonwealth's worst-in-the-nation gun laws. In addition, he supported the Precision Sports Legislative Reform bill that would protect the rights of target shooters in the Commonwealth, and voted for a bill to reduce firearm license fees.

"Gun owners in Massachusetts value their Second Amendment freedoms, and Jeff Perry is the clear choice to represent them," Cox concluded. "We ask all gun-owners, hunters and NRA members in Massachusetts' Tenth Congressional District to vote Jeff Perry for Congress on September 14."

Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America's oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group. Four million members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation's leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services.

Several weeks ago, Perry received similar support from the Masachusetts-based Gun Owners' Action League (GOAL), which was formed in 1974 to protect the right to keep and bear arms for lawful purposes in Massachusetts and which is recognized as the state's premier gun rights association.

"I am honored to have the support of the NRA Political Victory Fund and GOAL in this race," said Perry. "I support the Constitution and all of its Amendments. I believe that citizens have the right to keep and bear arms as a basic Constitutional liberty guaranteed under the Second Amendment. I also believe in and support the safe and responsible ownership of firearms, and I appreciate the work of the members of the NRA and GOAL in this regard."
Showtime again.
Deval on NECN Volunteers Needed for the Topsfield Fair

Each year, GOAL is fortunate enough to be provided a booth at the Topsfield Fair.  Our booth is located in the Sportsman's Building, and is provided courtesy of the Essex County League of Sportsmen.

Exposure at the Fair gives GOAL the opportunity to talk with thousands of attendees.  Some are familiar with GOAL and our members. Others we talk with have no knowledge of firearms and their many purposes.

With limited office staff, GOAL depends on volunteers to help us at this Fair.
This year the Fair will be held from October 1-11, open from 10am to 10pm.  GOAL usually sets up four-hour shifts for volunteers.

If you can help us, please call 508.393.5333. ext.206.

We need help with Candidates!
GOAL Shield Logo Help us, help you, make great decisions on election day!

One of the fantastic after effects of Scott Brown being elected is a new resurgence of people that are willing to not only get involved by working for campaigns, but also to run for office.

There are more new candidates running for office this November within Massachusetts than we can recall seeing for a long time.  In order to sort through them we are asking for some help.  If you are a candidate for a county, state, or national office, or if you know or work for a candidate, please ask them to fill out one of our new candidate questionnaires.

This will give us a great read on how much a candidate knows, and cares about Second Amendment Issues.  After completing we will grade the questionnaire and post that grade on our Candidate Ratings Pages.  (See below)
*Note:  The U.S. Congress ratings are courtesy of the NRA.  Also note that ALL of our current incumbents up for re-election have an "F" grade.
