exceeding one's authority regarding how those licenses are issued or
regulated."
Budget Alert! GOAL is urging all of our members
to contact their State Representative (Senators will not have any input
on this bill until later in the process.) and ask them to oppose House
Budget (H.4599) Amendment numbers 149 and 152.
Federal Judge rules against Heller decision. The gun grabbers in Washington are celebrating a
federal ruling handed down Friday that upheld the tangle of rules that
effectively prohibit District residents from owning firearms for the
purpose of home defense.
- H2259 Gets an extension 3/17/10. According to Joint Rule 10 of the

We need help with Candidates!
|
Help us, help you, make great decisions on election day!
One of the fantastic after effects of Scott Brown being elected is a new resurgence of people that are willing to not only get involved by working for campaigns, but also to run for office.
There are more new candidates running for office this November within Massachusetts than we can recall seeing for a long time. In order to sort through them we are asking for some help. If you are a candidate for a county, state, or national office, or if you know or work for a candidate, please ask them to fill out one of our new candidate questionnaires.
This will give us a great read on how much a candidate knows, and cares about Second Amendment Issues. After completing we will grade the questionnaire and post that grade on our Candidate Ratings Pages. (See below) *Note: The U.S. Congress ratings are courtesy of the NRA. Also note that ALL of our current incumbents up for re-election have an "F" grade.

Youth Hunt
Essay Contest
The
GOAL Foundation is sponsoring a contest for a youngster to win a deer hunt in
South Carolina.
This
is a great chance for a boy or girl to win a fantastic, guided, all inclusive hunting trip!
To
enter the contest the boy or girl must write a short letter telling why
they should be chosen for an all-expense paid hunt. They must include a recent
photo along with their name, address, date of birth, phone number, and the name
and phone number of a parent or guardian. Applicants must be 14-18 years of age
and have a hunter safety certificate from any state.
Once
the lucky winner is chosen, we'll contact both the youngster and the parent or
guardian to go over the specific details of the travel and hunt arrangements.
Bang
and Tom Collins, owners of the Paradise Valley Hunt Club in Ehrarhdt, South
Carolina, have agreed to donate the actual hunt on one of their private
properties!
The
hunt in this contest would be for three days and completely guided in areas
exclusively for the selected hunter only.
The
dates of the hunt would be October 7-9, 2010
The
parent or guardian would be able to sit with the hunter should they wish to
video the event. Processing and packaging of the game would be included. All
travel arrangements for the winner and parent/guardian will be taken care of,
along with transportation of the equipment and supplies needed for the hunt.
For
those who remember how great it felt the first time you hunted, don't be shy
sending a donation to The GOAL Foundation to help us make this dream come true.
