H. 2259 Has a Hearing Date!

This will be the initial public hearing in regards to GOAL's Civil Rights and
Public Safety Bill H. 2259.
Please check this site often as the date approaches, hearings at the State
House are prone to being re-scheduled.
If you can attend we would love to have each and every one of you there in
support.
It's time to reform our unconstitutional gun laws, and this is where we
start. For more information about this bill please visit  WRITE FOR REFORM! Support H.2259 Letters from this effort have been pouring into the GOAL office.

needs your help in changing our ever restrictive gun legislation. We
are collecting letters to hand deliver to the State House!
We are currently working on H. 2259 "An Act Relative To Civil Rights And Public Safety."
If
passed this bill would dramatically change the landscape of our current
gun laws in a way that would benefit all lawful gun owners. Read the bill here

are asking all of you that read this email to take 5 minutes of your
time and write a personal note in support of the passing of this bill.
Please mention in your letter how our current restrictive laws are
un-acceptable and have infringed upon your constitutional rights while
doing NOTHING to reduce crime. (see stats here)

 Member Clubs, we are looking for your letters in support of H. 2259 our Civil Rights and Public Safety Bill which will reform our current unconstitutional gun laws. Please contact Kim Golinski at the GOAL Office if you have any questions or need any help!
GOAL is proud to offer the NSSF "First Shots" firearms
training seminar for the 2010 training schedule. Upon successful completion of
this course attendees are eligible to apply for a Massachusetts license to
carry or firearm identification card (FID). This class is designed for beginners but
is also a great refresher course.
GOAL is asking that our Affiliated Clubs host this seminar. Dates have been
set aside and can be reserved by calling Kim Golinski at the GOAL office at
508-393-5333 x 203.

 2/24/10 BFS Primer Course for State
Certified Firearm Instructors. Only $15.00 for GOAL Members! Sign up today, only 3 seats left! The GOAL Foundation often receives
inquiries from both new and seasoned firearm instructors
about refresher courses. Our BFS Primer course is
definitely part of a well rounded "refresher".
As instructors certified by the Commonwealth, as well as
the NRA, we are required to convey sections of
Massachusetts law (Chapter 140 § 131P).
This class runs approximately 3
hours. Topics covered include: frequently asked questions
by students, suggested material for student packets and a
review of the course requirements for Basic Firearm Safety
Instructors certified by the Colonel of the Massachusetts
State Police and general gun law.
You do not need to be an NRA Instructor
to attend but must be a BFS Certified Instructor.
*Pre-registration

send email to kim@goal.org to find out when the next available course is scheduled.
Fees
for this course are non-refundable unless cancellations
are made AT LEAST 7 days prior to the course date.
3/20-3/21/2010 NRA
Chief Range Safety Officers Course
This is an advanced
course, students are required to be NRA Certified Range Safety Officers before
they can enroll.
NRA Chief Range Safety Officers are people who possess the
knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and
supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. This course requires
the NRA Range Safety Officer certifications as a prerequisite. The successful
completion of this course will allow individuals to educate, train, and certify
NRA Range Safety Officers.
***This course does not encompass the functions
and responsibilities of a Range Officer, who conducts NRA competitive shooting
events as defined by Rule 11.5 of the NRA Rule Books.
The Range Safety Officer course which Chief Range Safety
Officers instruct consists of:
- Range
Safety Officer's roles and responsibilities
- Range
standard operating procedures
- Range
inspection and range rules
- Firearm
stoppages and malfunctions
- Range
Safety Briefings which include emergency procedures
Application for the course *Pre-registration

available course
is scheduled.
Class Payment Policy
Payment needs to be made at the time of registration via credit card. Cash and
payment by check will be accepted but need to be received in the GOAL office no
latter than 7 days (1 week) from registration
Registration will not be considered complete until payment is received.
Payments not received in the office in 7 days will result in loss of placement
in class.
Cancellation
and No Show Policy
7 days notice is the minimum requirement to cancel. Arrangements to be placed
into another class can be made or a refund can be issued.
Cancellations
after seven days will be charged for the class if the position can not be
filled.
No-Shows will be charged for the class. Under certain circumstances,
arrangements to attend another class can be made.
