Two special dogs Bruce and George, were spotted hiding off a freeway on-ramp, starving, shaking with fear, and confused. The unlikely duo; a broad chested Mastiff mix and his buddy, a small Bichon Frise mix, were bonded like brothers.  When separated, Bruce would lay down with his head between his paws, waiting for George's return - without eating or engaging with people.  After being rescued by the Bark Avenue Foundation, to us it was clear, they had to be kept together.  

 

On our mission to place them into their first loving home, their 5 month care with us included adoption events, e-marketing, and person to person networking.  Bruce and George struck gold when a young couple living in downtown Los Angeles stepped in to provide their forever home, together at last.
