Recent screening of "See What I'm Saying" in Ghana, West Africa

at Savelugu School for the Deaf.

Photo by Kate Barclay, American Peace Corps volunteer.

Ghana photo 2

Deaf students in Ghana watch "See What I'm Saying" on a laptop.

Here's Kate's email to me:

"I'm an American Peace Corps volunteer teaching at Savelugu School for the Deaf in the northern region of Ghana, West Africa. I showed my students your film tonight, and I took some photos of them watching it on my laptop.  Ghanaian sign language is based on American Sign Language, but it's a little different. My students loved seeing deaf actors in your film!

Here in Ghana, most deaf individuals are farmers or sweepers, so it's great for them to imagine a future in the professional world."  - Kate Barclay.

These photos and the story behind them make our entire journey worthwhile.

CJ Jones was particularly moved.

"Oh wow!!! This is a great great picture! They really touched my heart deeply!!! Ok, I'm adding Ghana West Africa on my bucket's list.

I'll find a way to come and meet them." - CJ Jones

Your purchases of the DVD's on our website and t-shirts at screenings

help make these screenings possible by allowing us to waive the license fees for special considerations. Thank you all who have supported the film

to make these events possible!

Much love,
