The world premiere in Los Angeles was a magical evening.
East Coast - now it's your turn!

See What I'm Saying

Friday, April 9th kicks off two week run!

at restaurant 1492 located at 60 Clinton Street. If you are on VIP list, you will receive a separate email with event information. Please email Diamando@worldplayinc.com for details.

We need at least 50 people to show up at every screening. With 4 screenings every day (5 screenings Fri, Sat and Sun) for 2 weeks with no advertising budget,
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

We are relying on word of mouth - you - to get people to the theater.
Think DPN - Deaf President Now - where a group of people changed history.
This is YOUR chance now to show Hollywood it is time to start hiring more deaf actors and caption more films. We have the power to do this!

ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN THE PAST 2 WEEKS
  • The only deaf girl in a small town took her entire hearing family, church and neighbors to SEE WHAT I'M SAYING. After seeing the film, the entire community decided they were going to learn sign language.
  • Booking requests for several deaf entertainers (including some not in the film) for possible jobs as people are starting to see them as "actors" and not "deaf actors."
  • Our hearing, mainstream audiences have almost tripled, with hundreds of introductions to the deaf community, and comments like, "I had no idea what to expect. I was blown away by these performers' talent and determination. I'm telling everyone I know they have to see this."
  • Thanks to our Los Angeles crowds, CA run has been extended to May 8 and May 9 at 11:00AM at Laemmle Pasadena, Santa Monica and Encino.
It is URGENT that each of you get at least 10 people to the theater for us to succeed. Please forward this newsletter with a note to attend one or more of our screenings below in NY, CA and other cities listed below.

"It's more than a movie. It's a historical movement whose time has come. Think DPN (Deaf President Now, a historical event at Gallaudet University in 1988) and let's show that there is a demand for deaf actors and open captioned films!"
