Issue Number 6                                                                         February 2008
Greetings!
Bobble pens
One afternoon during a bout of writer's delay (as opposed to writer's block), I started cleaning up my desk. I picked up a pen with a logo, and I was a little startled to see a name I had never heard of.

Where did I pick up that pen? Chances are it was a tradeshow somewhere, sometime. But why didn't I recognize the company name?

My little episode (plus the fact that I still had writer's delay) prompted me to post a question to an active online community. "What's on your desk?" I asked, and the response was overwhelming. Respondents shared the giveaways they always buy as well as the ones they always pick up. One person even put some of his tradeshow giveaways in the mail to me!

This issue includes an article about the survey as well as all the results. I'm also including the link to the last Avenue Z webinar, ENewsletters: The Basics and Beyond. Please let me know if you'd like reprint permission for either of these resources.

As always, I'm here when you need me.

A Happy Webinar Attendee
"I learned more in the last hour listening to Beth's presentation on eNewsletters than I have as a newsletter coordinator for the last seven and a half years.

What's On Your Desk?
Stress reliever

Stress balls (and stress heads) are out.

Green products are in.
And chocolate never goes out of style.

Despite the fact that we're tired of your basic promo pen, promotional experts say they're still the best-selling giveaways. Attendees love to get unusual things, but they have to serve some purpose and they have to be small enough to bring home?

What promo products make the cut? What do attendees leave on the showroom floors?

Avenue Z captured the conversation regarding promotional giveaways from a group of tradeshow and conference professionals.
