C.H. Briggs "Light Up Atlanta" Corian® Design Exhibition

C.H. Briggs was proud to partner with the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) to unveil the design exhibition titled Light Up Atlanta. Members of the Atlanta architecture and design community were challenged to design sculptures made entirely of DuPont™ Corian®, a durable and flexible solid surface material with a wide array of application possibilities. The designs were a reflection of the designers' thoughts on what Atlanta means to them. Each designer was then carefully paired with a fabricator who brought their visions to life.

The eye-catching designs ranged from a glowing interpretation of a heart to an inventive bench to a southern heat-inspired melting fan. Participating fabricators included: Atlanta Kitchen, Inc.; Counter Arts; Easy Care Countertops; MacLaren Fabrication and Top South, Inc.

The MDF Cross Band provides an ultra smooth surface to reduce telegraphing through the face, while the veneer innerplies maintain the strength and screw-holding power of a veneer core panel. This product combines MDF and veneer core and the material comes in 3/4" x 48.5" x 96.5", plain sliced, A-2 Cherry (IWP34001N), White Maple (IWP34002N) & Red Oak (IWP34003N) and is great for veneer work and lamination.

Also in stock and ready for shipment is MDF Cross Band Laminating Platform. This is great for laminating and has the same characteristics as the MDF Cross Band and is available in 3/4" x 49" x 97" (IWPMDFXB34N) and 11/16" x 49" x 97" (IWPMDFX116N).
