History of
Presidents Day

FlagDay

Washington's Birthday is a United States federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday of February. It is also commonly known as Presidents Day. As Washington's Birthday or Presidents Day, it is also the official name of a concurrent state holiday celebrated on the same day in a number of states.
Titled Washington's Birthday, the federal holiday was originally implemented by the United States of America federal government in 1880 for government offices in the District of Columbia and expanded in 1885 to include all federal offices. As the first federal holiday to honor an American citizen, the holiday was celebrated on Washington's actual birthday, February 22. On January 1, 1971 the federal holiday was shifted to the third Monday in February by the Uniform Monday Holiday Act.

America's Best and Worst Airports 2008

Travel+Leisure recently rated the best and worst Airports for 2008.

#1-Worst Chicago O'Hare (ORD)

Flights delayed: 35%

O'Hare won the dubious distinction of worst airport for delays in 2007, and things aren't any better-even the percentage of delays has remained the same.

#10-Worst Chicago Midway (MDW)
(tied with Atlanta)

Flights delayed: 25%

An improved Midway cut 3% of its delays over last year. A similar jump next year and it may disappear from this list.

Executive Chauffeuring is proud to announce that Your Private Limousine has merged with us.

Your Private Limousine, Inc. was first incorporated in 1996 as Ultimate Limousine, Inc.  In the year 2000, a name change to Your Private Limousine, Inc. was filed and approved.

The business began with a personal vehicle driven by Tracy Hodge and was used to transport the first passengers.  Many of these passengers continue to utilize YPL today!  Before long, the business had grown and was able to purchase several more cars to accommodate the demand of her customers.  Today, YPL provides transportation via sedans, vans, suvs, limousines, and buses.

Tracy has served on the board of directors for the Illinois Limousine Association for six years.  Three of those years were served as President of the ILA.

The road has not always been smooth.  9/11 and the economy has played a huge role in order to show the strength and stamina of YPL.  In fact, the economy today is forcing YPL to overcome many obstacles in order to stay in business and continue to be profitable.

YPL began as performing a majority of retail work and has evolved to service mostly corporate clients around the world today.  The internet has played a vital role to place YPL ahead of many of its competitors.  Online reservations and confirmations have become the norm.
