Pat Wilcock:

Baltic Cruise Blog I will be traveling to the Baltics on June 25-July 4, 2009 and will be blogging daily on my 9 Day Voyage aboard Silversea Cruiseline's Silver Cloud. This cruise begins and ends in Stockholm, Sweden with stops in Helsinki, Finland, St. Petersburg, Russia, Tallinn, Estonia, Gdansk, Poland, and finally back to Stockholm, Sweden. Click here for my Blog. Please feel free to leave comments.
Princess Captain Michelle just received her Princess Captain specialist certification and is working on her Commodore status.
I just returned from a 2 week Baltic Cruise on Regent Seven Seas Voyager where I learned about port cities in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Russia and Poland. We have great 2 for 1 specials on Regent including food, alcohol, gratuities and most shore excursions. Contact Brenda for details today.
Deborah Smith: Get ready for fun and adventure as we sail away with special guest host Bob Crowley - winner of Survivor Gabon on Royal Caribbean. Join Bob for a private cocktail party along with many other special events. Contact Deborah for pricing and more details. |
Travel Insurance
&
Medjet |
Travel Insurance:
The recent outbreak of Swine Flu reminds us that we never know when we might become ill, break a leg or have some other event that affects our travel plans. That is why travel insurance is a "must have" to insure your investment.
Click here to see Hurley Travel Expert travel consultants Pat Wilcock and Beth Skypeck discuss how travel insurance can help recoup vacation money. Steve Minich interviewed them on May 4, 2009 on WMTW Channel 8. MedjetAssist to the Rescue: And speaking of insurance, medical emergencies can strike anyone, anytime, turning a vacation short business trip into a medical nightmare. Domestic air medical evacuation averages $10,000 to $20,000 and internationally can exceed $75,000. That is why a MedjetAssist annual membership makes sense.
Unlike other evacuation services, MedjetAssist lets you decide which hospital will be your final destination and there is no medical necessity clause. Purchase an annual travel policy for as little as $175 and if you are hospitalized, MedjetAssist will pick you up - regardless of the nature of your illness or injury.

What is Secure Flight? |
Secure Flight is a program developed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in response to a key 9/11 Commission recommendation: uniform watch list matching by TSA. The mission of the Secure Flight program is to enhance the security of domestic and international commercial air travel through the use of improved watch list matching. Secure Flight is a behind the scenes program that streamlines the watch list matching process, improving the travel experience for all passengers. Not all airlines are currently participating, but will in the coming months. Why is my travel agent now asking for my name as it reads on my ID? This will assist the airlines and TSA on their collaboration to collect data in advance and compare the information you provide against the government watch lists. What if my name and ID do not match exactly? Will I be turned away and unable to fly? NO. Secure Flight will not impact the process at the security checkpoint in any way. Secure Flight is a behind-the-scenes process. You should provide your name as it appears on your government issued ID that you will be using when flying. This should include your first, middle and last name. You will also be asked for your Date of Birth to help identify you with the Secure Flight process. | |

Cruise tip from Hurley Travel Expert Susan Kokx: Most cruise lines have two formal nights a week that are billed as formal "black tie" events. In reality, many people dress in more casual clothes such as cocktail or sundresses and jacket and tie for the formal dinners. And for those who prefer to skip formal dinners, cruise ships offer an alternative to the formal dinner, in either another restaurant or room service on those nights. |
