Kids:  Clutter Bins
Too Many ToysDoes it drive you crazy when your kids leave things all over the house?

Try using Clutter Bins:
1.  Buy a decorative tote or bin for each child.  Put bins in a convenient location.

2.  When your children leave things lying around, don't waste your breath yelling,  just drop the items in their bin.

3.  Bins should be emptied weekly; jointly decide on a day.

4.  Over time, when your kids can't find things, they will learn to look in their clutter bins.

This is an easy idea to implement and will greatly reduce tension and yelling!

Time:  Losing Time
Losing Time Ever feel like you've lost track of time?

Here are two tips for being more conscious of how you use your time:

1.  Use a kitchen timer and set it for 20 minutes at a time.  If you wander, this will bring you back.

2.  When tackling tasks, set specific time frames for getting things done and stay on track.

Surfing the Internet can be a big time waster.  Even the most focused individual can be easily distracted.
Try allocating computer 'fun' time for after your work is done.
Home & Office:  Safe Deposit Boxes
Utility Not sure what papers to keep in your Safe Deposit Box?

Here is a basic list to get you started:

1.  Certificates - Marriage, Birth and Death
2.  Legal Papers - Divorce, Adoption, Custody, Citizenship, Military
3.  Estate Papers - Trusts
4.  Property - Deed, Mortgage
5.  Title - Motor Vehicle
6.  Investments - Stock and Bond Certificates
7.  Contracts
8.  Inventory List
9.  Photos
10. Receipts for Valuables

In case of emergency you may not want to have the following items at the bank: wills, living wills, health care proxies, and powers of attorney.  A fireproof filing cabinet in your home would make these items more accessible.

Consider having a spouse or child be a signer on the box so it can be accessed immediately, in case of death.
