I hope your year is off to a great start!  Have a snow day?  Why not use the time to organize a small space inside?

Sincerely,

While stuff won't make you happy, getting rid of stuff will!

Kids:  If You Had To Pay For It
PayKids (and adults) often have a hard time getting rid of their extra stuff.

Ask:  If you had to pay to keep this item, would you?  You might be surprised at how much easier it becomes to get rid of things no longer used or needed.

Training children to constantly prioritize what they really need, will help them develop a lifelong skill.
Time:  Information Access
MobileMe There are great internet services that sync your information with your phone.

MobileMe.com is a great service for iPhone users.  It costs $99 a year and automatically syncs your information with your phone, Mac and iPad and then stores it in "the cloud."

Airset.com is a similar non-Apple service for $4.95/month.

This type of service can be a great time-saver.  Even without your phone, you can access important information.  It also serves as an off-site back-up.  Thanks to Yocheved Boyarsky for sending me the information on Airset.com!
Home & Office:  Email
EmailSome clever ideas adapted  from Seth Godin's April 23, 2010 blog on what he wishes everyone knew about email.

1.   Change your settings so that an email from you has your name in the "From" field,.
2.   Use a signature on the bottom of each email with your contact information.
3.  Change settings so that when you reply, the original message is included.
4.   Do not hit "reply all" unless you must.
5.   You can't recall a sent email so think before you send.
6.   Email lives forever, is easy to spread and can easily show up in discovery for a lawsuit.
7.   Send yourself an email from a friend's computer - is this how you want your email to look?

Email is great, but can also be misused.  Seth Godin's tips are useful and can improve how you use email.
