Kids: Gifts
Could your kids do with a little less indulgence? Are you looking to give a more meaningful gift?
The following idea came from Margi Hirschberg (one of my Mom's dearest friends.) Each year, in honor of her grandchildren's birthdays, Margi and her husband, Irwin, make a donation to a charity they feel would be meaningful to the kids. Last year, through Heifer International, they bought a cow and a water buffalo. Their grandchildren learned that these animals provide milk and many other benefits to impoverished families.
This concept can be used for birthdays, Christmas, Hanukkah, or any special occasion. Teaching the value of caring for others is a real gift.

Time: Choosing What's Important
This is from Michael Neill's daily blog at Genius Catalyst:
The most important choice you make is what you choose to make important.
This is true in any area of your life - the results you produce will be a direct and reliable result of your priorities.
Prioritize doing what you love at work and watch your career begin to thrive; prioritize kindness, courage and communication at home and your relationships will soar.

Home & Office: 5 Year Plan
Most of us have our To-Do lists but we rarely take the time to look further out and ask ourselves, "Where would I like to be in 5 years?"
It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind. Setting aside the time to annually review your 5-year plan (after you've created one) will help you realize your goals.
What have you always dreamed of doing? Are you taking the steps necessary to get you there?
