Tip of the Month:

Anxiety is nothing...

but repeatedly re-experiencing failure in advance.

What a waste.

Kids:  Seeing it All
T-shirtsTired of your kid toppling a pile of shirts to get to  the one on the bottom?

A babysitter showed me this method.
1.  Fold in the shoulders.
2.  Fold the shirt in half.
3.  Fold the shirt in half again (or roll it).
4.  Line the shirts up so you can see all of them.

Lining up shirts (and pants) in this way let's your child see everything without having to mess up the entire drawer. It works for adults too!
Time:  25 Minutes Wasted
Trash Time Multitasking can be costly.

Studies show that a distracted office worker wastes 25 minutes of time before getting back on track.  Returning to a place where you are fully engaged may take even longer.

If you don't have time to throw away, try to reduce multitasking and distractions.  Focus on one project at a time and give it your full attention.
Home & Office:  Experiences
ExpectationsIt's easy to get caught up in the idea that buying something special will make you happy.

A recent Cornell University study found that experiences make us feel happier and more satisfied than buying stuff.

The study also showed that experiential satisfaction tended to increase over time whereas the enjoyment from a purchase tended to decrease.
