Wow!  Summer went lightening fast this year.  It's back-to-school time:  carpools, school supplies, schedules and homework.

Staying organized will get you and your family off to a good start.

Sincerely,
Sharon F. Danzger

Tip of the Month:

Consider the "50/90" rule:

"Organizing experts say that if a task takes you 10 hours to complete, you get 90 percent of it done in the first 5 hours."

Kids:  Birthday Presents
PresentsWhen young children have birthday parties, they often receive unwanted gifts.

Here's an idea:
Select a charity with your child that he/she finds meaningful.  Ask invitees to consider donating to this charity in lieu of bringing  gifts.  A link to the charity's website makes it simple.

Take your child to the toy store for his/her birthday and buy one or two items that is really wanted.  Everyone wins!
Time:  Inefficient Habits
Habits Humans are creatures of habit and we often have routines we like to stick to.

Unfortunately, sometimes our routines are flawed.  Habits that waste a few minutes a day seem innocent, but 10 minutes a day adds up to 60+ hours a year... two and a half days!

Scrutinize some of your habits and see what can be improved.  On-line shopping, automated address books, and dry cleaner delivery are just a few examples of time-saving routines.
Home & Office:  Schedule Email Time
Email TimeChecking email can be all consuming.  It is very easy to lose track of time while online.

Experts suggest assigning two time slots each day for email review.

Putting email time into your daily calendar will insure that you have the time to do it.  Twice a day means you will always be able to provide a timely response.
