Kids: Desk Set-Up
Get your kids off to a good start by helping them create an area conducive to studying.
1. Desktop - If your child studies at a desk, be sure there is a sufficient amount of space to work. 2. Drawers - A drawer with dividers that house all of the necessary supplies (pens, pencils, tape, scissors, glue, etc.) makes it easier to get work done.
3. Portable Supplies - If your child likes to study on his/her bed or floor, set up a tote for carrying supplies to wherever he/she decides to study.
When it comes to studying, being prepared is half of the challenge. Try to set aside a space that enables your child to concentrate. |

Time: Turn Off Bad Movies
Do you finish a bad movie because you are convinced that it is going to get better? You are not alone!
If you don't like a movie after the first 30 minutes, it is unlikely that you will change your mind.
Rather than feeling the need to finish what you started, try taking back control of your time.
Bad movies rob us of valuable time that can be spent on something else.
Time is too precious to waste on movies we don't enjoy. When you turn off a bad movie, don't view it as quitting; think of it as a victory for reclaiming your time. |

Home & Office: Goal Setting
In a study of Yale's class of 1953, only three percent of the recent graduates had written out goals and a plan of action.
Twenty years later this three percent appeared happier and more content than the others.
This three percent achieved more wealth than the remaining ninety-seven percent combined.
Setting goals gives you a sense of purpose and direction to help you lead a more fulfilling life. |
