I am revisiting this concept because I've noticed something. People are asking me to write old fashioned web pages and there is a new generation of promotion that has taken hold.
The fact of the matter is if you are not using video to promote your business you're behind current trends and if you don't fix it soon, the boat will be leaving without you being on it.
These days, as you're searching for information on the
internet, you

are very likely to find video. A videos of you will increase the likelihood that website visitors will stay
longer and buy more.
When you're surfing
the web, do you find yourself clicking on the video, expecting to be treated to
something interesting and fun? A survey of one site indicated that 81% of all
the visitors stopped to play the video.
What if your website had a video? What if your video was a carefully scripted,
compelling piece introducing them to you, your company and your products and
services? What if it was written in a
fun, entertaining way that proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that you were the
perfect company with which to do business? Do you believe that people clicking
in would be more likely to buy from you than if your site simply had text?
And video is no longer a giant expensive deal. With the advent of the flip video, you can shoot, plug and play all in an afternoon.

Still not convinced? Think about it this way: You have a beautiful storefront that
generates a lot of traffic. Lots of
people stop by to check you out. Will
you lead all of your prospects to a well lit table piled with sales material
and direct them to read about your products and services?
Of course not! You are going to speak with each guest individually
because you know that most successful sales transactions involve personal relationships.
Relationships which allow you to speak directly to the client educating them as
to WHY your product or service is different and better than the rest. With
video you can do that on your website too.
Perhaps you have a product that is installed in the
home. A video describing your products
and the installation process can be used as a sales tool both by your in-home
demonstrators and on the internet.
A
value added piece, like a check list for choosing the right

contractor, is an
additional benefit for homeowners. It can establish you as the authority in
sales and installation in your field. By
showing that your company is safe, helpful and trustworthy, you can place
yourself at the top of your client's short list of possible vendors.
A well crafted video can show YOU speaking about a certain
product or service, how it works and how it can make your visitor's life
easier. You will then be transforming the
feel of your website into the feel of your retail store (real or virtual). Each
click becomes a personal visit to the best provider of your products and
services - you.
Video can work for any service and industry. From pet and
home

care to burglar alarms or window film, people are more likely to purchase
products or services if they can tell that the website they're viewing has real
people behind the pages.
Coming soon! Do you have have an informational product to promote? Or maybe you just have more great ideas than you have money to promote them.
Stay tuned! I am creating something that solves a problem I wish was solved for me - and I promise it will make you money and you are going to love it!
