Networking Tip of the Month
|
 |
Holiday parties and mixers abound this month. No doubt you'll be invited to partake in some holiday cheer. Before you go remember this: WWSD.
What Would Santa Do?
No I'm not suggesting you gain 50 pounds and wear a read fur suit. I AM suggesting you consider thinking like Santa when you're out networking.
Think like Santa?!? That's right. Santa is really good at two things (besides eating and "ho ho ho-ing")
First, Santa is a very good listener. He carefully listens to and remembers the things that good little boys and girls want for the holiday.
Second Santa is a giver. He gives because it's what he does, not because he expects to get anything in return.
So when you're out "Santa Networking" see what you can do to give. Maybe it's hooking someone up with a vendor they need. Or maybe they're looking for an introduction to someone.
Choose one or two special people and see if you can't give them a great referral for the holiday. Then maybe the real Santa will put something nice in your stocking in return!

Greetings!
Happy Holichrisyulehanikwanzsticedays! Kinda reminds me of that television commercial where the guy needs a phone that does business in Philiwarapragacago!
I have a great appreciation for all of the different cultural influences that make up our "modern" holiday celebrations. Just like Baskin Robbins has a flavor of ice cream to please everyone, there's a holiday "cultural flavor" for everyone.
My holiday traditions include putting up decorations and a tree, quiet evenings in front of the fire and crab on Christmas Eve. Since the oil spill in San Francisco Bay, I think we'll be skipping the crab, so instead, I am adding the tradition of gratitude.
I am grateful for 2007 with all it's joys and pains, travel, and ups and downs. Everything happens for a reason and this has been an amazing and educational year. I am especially grateful for you. I appreciate you. I've loved every minute of our time together - in newsletters, workshops and programs. You are the most amazing people and I am so honored to have served you this year.
May you have a wonderful holiday. Here's to a prosperous new year for us all.
Miss Karen

A Holiday Poem
'Twas the night before Solstice when at the great hall
Not a person was stirring, they were all at the mall.
The snacks were arranged on the table with care
In hopes that some networkers soon would be there.
When out in the parking lot arose such a sound
Like 500 pirates whose ships ran aground.
But I knew what it was - they were all right on time
The Chambers of Commerce, B2B, BNI,
LeTip and Csix to name just a few Plus entrepreneurs and small businesses too.
The networkers all had arrived
in a flash
And the party began - a right jolly old bash.
They were all dressed in suits except for a few
Shaking hands, passing cards, saying "what do you do?"
Their eyes how they twinkled, their voices so merry! They were helping each other while they drank Tom and Jerry.
A curious thing took place there that night. It was farming not hunting and doing what's right.
To those who attended, not one promotion was made to another in the happy commotion.
The party went on for an hour or two, Then off they all went with connections anew.
And I heard them exclaim as they drove out of site,
Happy networking to all and to all a good night!

Don't keep putting it off! Now is a great time for you to enjoy three easy reads that will help you make more money right away. |
We've Moved!
I am so excited to announce my new location in beautiful downtown Pleasant Hill, CA. Walnut Creek was nice, but no one could find it easily and it no longer suited my needs.
Enter my wonderful student Joan Kasich! Effective tomorrow (December 4th) I'll be sharing a suite with Joan. This will also be the location for most of my trainings, so be sure to make a note of the new address and phone number.
I just love the suite and it's right in Two Worlds in Downtown Pleasant Hill, next to the park and within walking distance of shops, restaurants - AND MY HOUSE!! How cool is that??
I'll be in the office most Tuesdays, so drop in and say hello if you're in the area.

Based
upon feed back from students, I've come to realize that the One Day
workshop is terrific and you all love it AND that it can be more

Because
the new workshop will be structured differently and require assistants
to create the optimum experience, this session will no longer be
available as a "no cost" bonus. All students who are waiting to take
this workshop need to attend no later than January 30, 2008.

Exciting New Stuff Coming in 2008
I was going to wait until January, but I just got so darned excited that I couldn't send this email until I "let the cat out of the bag"
I have three incredibly exciting things coming up next year.
One: Have you ever read Napoleon Hill's Book "Think and Grow Rich?" Well I just finished it and it blew my mind! I am going to be forming a mastermind group to read and discuss this life changing book. There will be no cost to join this group AND I will give you a copy of the book at NO COST. If you are at all interested in joining this discussion email me ASAP. Most likely this will be a telephone discussion group, although we may meet in person. It depends upon who is interested. This group will be limited to 12 people.
Two: Who do you know that would like to get their name in front of 500 or more "solopreneurs?" before the end of March 2008? I have some incredible opportunities available for the right business. Sponsorships and Vendor booths are available for Miss Karen's Expert Expo (call for information) and the Millionaire Marketing and Wealth Expo Click here to find out more Discounted rates for Sponsorships, booths and tickets are available through Miss Karen's Productions. Just use my secret code MMW20 for the discounted prices.
Three: Coming soon - a whole new Miss Karen! OK - what the heck does that mean? I'm not telling - yet. BUT a great referral for me is someone who would like to invest in or serve on the board of an exciting new venture in communications with Miss Karen. Call me for more information!
