A Big Mitchell Glass Hello to Keith!
We'd like to introduce you to our newest member of staff, Keith Laurie, who recently joined our ever expanding team.
Keith, who is a joiner with over 30 years experience, joined us in June. His experience in house building is key to our on-going success as we strive to keep up with demand for loft and garage conversions.
Keith (also known as Spug) lives in Selkirk and played rugby for the 1st team from 1978-1991. He is a keen participant of the Selkirk Common Riding and was one of the first "Friends of the Fleshers" to cast the flag in 2002.

Anyone for Cricket? 
The annual Mitchell Glass cricket match was played, despite the rain, on the 24th July, when our team faced the mighty Galashiels Cricket Club 3rds.
The match took place at Galashiels Cricket Club and nearly all members of staff joined in or offered support - unfortunately to little avail as we were beaten by a number of points.
The fun match is played annually as we support the Cricket Club by assisting with maintenance of the clubrooms. Last year we hand made 2 wall mounted glass trophy cabinets and this year we supplied 2 mirrors for the clubhouse.
It was an education for us all, we now know "Duck" doesn't only mean "get your head down because there's a cricket ball flying towards you"! Gregor Welsh, who scored over 60 runs for our team, preserved our honour. Thank you Gregor! And a touch of class was added to the evening by Keith Gobby, who dressed in traditional white - much to the embarrassment of his wife. ____________________________________________
