Good afternoon friends and colleagues,
The USGBC Indiana Board of Directors election is fast approaching. This year, we have several at large positions opening up. Our leadership is hopeful that several established leaders within the various Chapter Branches will consider engaging the state-level leadership.
Please keep in mind that the 2013 Branch Chairs will have a representative seat on the 2013 Board of Directors.
Timeline
Here is a quick timeline of how the elections will work out this Fall:
- Oct. 23 (Tue.) - Last day for candidate nominations.
- Oct. 24 (Wed.) - Nominations will be approved by the current USGBC-IN Board of Directors
- Oct. 29 (Mon.) - The Indiana Chapter Election Form will need to be filled out.
- Nov. 1 (Mon.) - Eligible candidates will be posted to USGBC-IN.org (with a short bio or summary information) and the membership will be notified of their candidacy.
- Nov. 12 (Mon.) - Nov. 16 (Fri.) - Greenbuild Week
- Nov. 19 (Mon.) - Nov. 30 (Fri.) - Balloting
- Dec. 5 (Fri) - Election results will be announced.
Eligibility
Candidates must have a membership that is in good standing and must have served the Chapter in a leadership role for at least one year. The leadership requirement can be waived at the discretion of the current Board of Directors.
You may nominate yourself or others.
