Enter for a chance to win a spot in the Best Practices Poster Pin-up happening at Greening The Heartland 2012 Regional Conference. Enter and have your solution chosen for the poster pin-up -you may be selected by your peers to have your solution place in one of three award categories.

In response to Interest and questions the website now includes a poster sample from one of the categories to help get you started.  Also new to the site is a Poster Template that can be downloaded and edited to suit your documentation. You must complete and entry form and poster presentation to be considered for the GTH conference Sustainable Solutions exhibition.

Entering is free to all members of the USGBC within the Heartland Region. Non-member entries will not be considered for the exhibition.

Best Practices Exhibition

Conference Theme:  Building Community

'Building Community' reflects bringing people together to share visions and solutions for sustainable communities in which to work, play, learn and live. We will bring together business and community leaders, green building professionals and product suppliers to achieve greater understanding of environmental and economic trends in the maturing 21st century

Key advantages to sustainable communities reach beyond the green buildings to the pathways and infrastructure that provide our buildings with clean energy, water, and efficient use of materials while minimizing waste.  Watts, water, waste, and wheels will be the buzz words at this year's conference.  The convenient and sustainable means of arrival for each of these utilities and services results in truly green buildings, sustainable developments, and ultimately green communities.

Daily Session Focus: 
Each conference day includes plenary sessions that are organized around one of the "triple bottom line" tenets of Sustainability.  A keynote address and a plenary session (panel discussion or presentation) are planned for each day.
