Greetings!

The 2012 TESL Ontario annual ESL Week contest is underway, and the July 15th entry deadline is quickly approaching.

TESL Ontario's ESL Week contest is a great way to show your support of the language learning community. The contest provides TESL Ontario with an opportunity to bring the importance of English language instruction and learning into the spotlight, by showcasing the talents of our learners and instructors, and at the same time providing unique works of art and literature related to language learning in Ontario.

New this year:

In addition, all grand prize and first place winners will once again receive:

• A winner's certificate of accomplishment in their category
• An invitation to the opening reception at the annual TESL Ontario conference in Toronto on November 8th, 2012 where they will be honoured for their achievements. Travel and accommodation expenses will be paid for by TESL Ontario where required.
• All winning entries will be publicly displayed at the annual conference and will be published on the TESL Ontario website. Some winning entries may also be published in TESL Ontario publications and/or social media applications where appropriate. 

We invite you to express your creativity, as well as, encourage your learners to demonstrate their language skills. The contest is open to all instructors, learners and organizers involved with English language learning in Ontario.

Submit your entry in one of the following 6 categories:

• Essay
• Blog
• Poetry
• Short story
• Photo / photo collage
• Video

The final deadline for contest submissions is July 15, 2012. Please carefully review the contest entry guidelines prior to beginning work on your submission to ensure that your entry meets all of the contest requirements.
